First Performance

So, this school year, I was placed back in a group at my church for the youth worship team as a drummer. I was in it before, but I wasn't especially putting much effort into it, and sort of just followed instructions, and had to take a break by the end of last year due to being to busy with exams and projects. I figured I could do better this year, so I asked to be put back on the team again, and got the group leader to keep track and see if I made any improvement. This was posted on the day of the first worship we were in charge of, and I think it overall went pretty well (though I did slip once or twice). I actually chose one of the songs we played. I've been practicing a week or two before hand, and I took regular lessons anyway, so I had plenty of time. Most songs don't really have music written for drumset, so I really just had to make something up and make sure it sounds good, and I think I can still improve on that. A lot of other people said that I did pretty well. The group leader said I did great, too. I guess all I can do now is to practice fill-ins more often. I'm not all that good with those.









I probably could've posted something beforehand, but I was having internet connectivity issues, so I never got around to it.
