Feedback from team leader

You might be wondering why this is posted days before this is due, but I've been having some technical difficulties. I lost the file she wrote her comments on after trying to clean up my hard drive space, and couldn't contact her for a while as she was out of town. Been having a slightly unstable internet, too. It probably can be fixed, but the blog might be empty for a while more.
Here's her comments about the very first performance, though:

 • you have actually participated more by choosing songs and tried to
 coordinate with other team members for a compromise and you have come up
 with a chosen song

 •  I noticed that you have listened more to other parts of the music and
 tried to fit in wherever is appropriate. The limitation is that the songs
 has little parts for drums unless we add in more on our own.

I actually do take lessons for playing drumset after school once a week, so I figured I'd ask my teacher about how I have improved in the last year. His written response was in Chinese, which would probably not work well on this blog. However, I've roughly translated his comments, albeit in bullet point form, with the closing comment in a sentence underneath. It's brief, but it's long enough to show his opinion:

• Positive attitude, willing to learn.
• Actively engages and tries to improve in playing songs
• Attentive and focused.
• Satisfactory progress in learning.
• Suggestions: Practice more at home.
• Suggestions: Listen to more songs and music to improve sense of rhythm and skill in fill-in segments
• Practice and try to improve hand-eye coordination and rhythm/speed

Nathanael Chu is willing to make an effort and has good comprehension. Has made significant improvement. 

Second Performance

well, it's been a while, to be honest, but my church is pretty weird with its scheduling sometimes, so I'm not exactly surprised myself. Between that and homework disappearances, major oversights seem to happen around me often. We do have a lot of teams to cycle through, so it isn't entirely their fault. On topic though, I performed for my church's worship team again, though we have had a member change. Showing another photo again would probably be a bit on the pointless side, as photos of people playing drums generally look the same no matter what they're playing, but I do have a clip this time. It doesn't seem to be working properly, however, so I'm putting in the photos just in case so that you know that it actually happened. I hope I can get it fixed eventually.

First Performance

So, this school year, I was placed back in a group at my church for the youth worship team as a drummer. I was in it before, but I wasn't especially putting much effort into it, and sort of just followed instructions, and had to take a break by the end of last year due to being to busy with exams and projects. I figured I could do better this year, so I asked to be put back on the team again, and got the group leader to keep track and see if I made any improvement. This was posted on the day of the first worship we were in charge of, and I think it overall went pretty well (though I did slip once or twice). I actually chose one of the songs we played. I've been practicing a week or two before hand, and I took regular lessons anyway, so I had plenty of time. Most songs don't really have music written for drumset, so I really just had to make something up and make sure it sounds good, and I think I can still improve on that. A lot of other people said that I did pretty well. The group leader said I did great, too. I guess all I can do now is to practice fill-ins more often. I'm not all that good with those.
